What software are you running for the Starboard?

It's useful on a repeater with a long hang time, you know for sure the other side is unkeyed. Otherwise you're waiting several seconds for the carrier to drop between each transmission, which gets annoying.

Anyone know of a good source to buy the AT5555 in the U.S., if not, what seller did you buy from? I feel a bit leery sending a couple of bills to a seller on Aliexpress. There also appears to be a v6 board out now but I'm not sure what the changes are, anyone know?

What is the bias on the Cobra, and how does it have filtering if it does not have a band switch?

Hmm interested, I did not know things where handled that way with CB use, or could be anyway. Incentive for your friend to get a ham license if he is motivated to get on the air.

Is that even legal? If he had a legit station, no amp, and was following the rules, there really is not much the city could have done legally. Very odd. However, if he was in a antenna restricted deed house, that could have been trouble.

Hello, I just aquired a old 148 GTL from a cousin of mine. It was bought orginally in 1987. Apparently, when he was a teen, he messed around with the radio, trying to unlock the clarifier, and getting an additional upper and lower 40 channels. He did all of this years ago and can't remember...

Well the problems with my rig went away. I can only imagine it was some type of issue with RF feedback or something of that sort... I can't seem to duplicate the problem now, which is a good thing. Rig is running like a top :P

I don't think it is a power supply issue, I tried it on a couple of Kenwood power supplies that put out over 30 amps, and it was tried in two cars, both times hooked directly to the battery with 12 gauge wire.
