I will be running the wire for 220 service to my shack, and was wondering what size breaker and wire to get. How many amps will the Heathkit SB-220 pull? Any info on getting the electric service ready is appreciated.

What are you doing to keep the RF out of everything. I have an S9 into 2x2290's into 8x2879's and a very well grounded system, and I have some RF issues. This is in a 2003 F350 SD CC with the 7.3

I have the Palstar WM2000M with the remote sender. It works very nice, and gets my recomendation.

I agree, mine does not work well inside a vehicle with any of the 3 different antennas, unless you get them up and out of the vehicle. I can stick the antenna up through the sunroof and hear all kind of chatter, but pull it back down inside and onle the very closest units are heard.

I ran my S9 and a 4x1446 box into mine for years with no problems. The mag mount did mess up the paint, so I roof mounted it. Never had a single issue with the capacitor, and swr was always low. I have them on 4 of the company trucks, roof mounted and they all have 2x1446 boxes into them...

Tried out the instructions reguarding two peaks. There are 2 distinct peaks on the knobs as told. Following this lead.....I tuned up using the higher of the 2 peaks on each dial. This gained me an additional 175 watt to 500 on high.

Will I have to do anything special to the D&A to be able to use it on SSB? I had someone on this site explain the "tune up", before use procedure, but was wondering if the amp is good to go on AM and SSB. I guess I could just give it a go and see what happens.

Thanks Nomad. I have the 15 meter cw version I think, as that is what is on the front label. 1 tube nearer the middle then 3 then 6, with a crystal plug on the front. No hole in the base for a forth driver tube as I have seen in others. I was planning to run this with my Magnum S9. Do You see...
