11 meter is very quiet?

Interesting conditions this evening. About 9:40 cst I called cq and had a pretty good lengthy qso with 2 stations in southern Wisconsin. Nobody else but those two who were local to each other. Interesting stuff but any dx is a good time.
Sometimes those contacts are the best ones, nice to just have a conversation with out fighting s-9+ DX, cool stuff.

last night i talked to 245 in smoky mtns along with a couple of his neighbors. we managed a breif but quality signal till somebody jumped in speaking a spanish direlect

Occasionally I've heard Jamaica and Australia, but very weak and only lasted a few seconds. I've made a couple contacts into the Carolina's in the last 2 weeks. Otherwise it's just low level white noise. On the plus side, I've got 10 locals in a 60 mile radius. Even with the terrain, 100 watts is all it takes, and nightly conversations have been great. No struggle with tons of noise and 500 people calling cqdx.

It's definitely famine lately but not much longer and hopefully we'll get to feast on the plentiful dx.

I'll get some occasional sporadic conditions here but not often during the summer months. Dead as can be here today... just the hiss of doom.

Incredible conditions right now! Just talked to 15 stations in a row......all of them in Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Arkansas. Everybody pounding in with huge signals on 36 thru 40 and lots of folks in that same geographical area up above 40 as well.... 27.435, 27.485, 27.575 etc. etc.
Running a barefoot 5555N2 and a delta loop.

Get 'em while you can!

I was under my Cobalt most of the day doing rocker panel work but did run to town for parts and didn't hear squat. Back under the Cobalt for the rest of the week to Git Er Done !
