I hear a lot of stuff that I'm not "supposed" to hear on 10 meters. 73's, what's your handle?, what's your first personal?, I'm QRT and QSX, on and on. And the European phonetics? Fugghettaboutit! Since I'm a newbie on the ham bands, it's interesting to me that all the stuff Uncle Fester used to spew at us CB'ers on 38lsb as being wrong and how stupid we were for doing it, is done by a LOT of ham operators.

First World problems. Does anyone not understand what those that use those conventions mean? If you know what they are trying to convey who cares. 73's could also mean Best Wishes, Best Wishes, Best Wishes as grammatically the "s" means multiples of 73 not just part of it.

As for Q codes like QSL, QRZ actually sometimes it's actually easier to understand what some foreign stations are trying to say than if the said it in plain broken english or english with a heavy accent.

The problem is that a lot of the hams you hear are of the newer crowd and have carried their CB way of thinking over to amateur radio complete with their Texas Star and Dave Made amplifiers.

I don't see this "newer crowd" as the problem. The problem is the "perfectionist curmudgeons" (as you called them) who refuse to accept them.
