pin 3 wire> PTT switch> pin 5 (ground/shield). No resistance.Hello!
I would like to try an amplified dynamic microphone with the Q6PRO radio. My question is, how can I connect the PTT wire directly to Gnd? Or do you need resistance?
Tnx!

Service menu, if you don't know what you are doing, stay out......
This method no longer works. It was removed by the factory on all new versions because of the mistakes being made by people without the knowledge or the test equipment needed. In case the video goes away, the procedure is:
Hold PTT, Mode and Memory while powering on.
That's why the software tool was created. It's a barrier to entry that will stop most basic users from even attempting adjustments, (the same ones who made the keypad service menu mistakes in the past) but for those PRO users that need it, the PC tool is the keys to the castle. We've seen our fair share of golden screwdrivers come through here crying about the brick they created.
It's probably best to make these new radios GOLDEN SCREWDRIVER PROOF.
on left side my big fingers get tangled up. plus channel skipping when tuning on right. been hearing several radios are sharing the skipping. switches might be from another builder with lax qcWhat controls do you not like the position of?
Just to follow up. Success! I installed the AT-6666 Pro v.1.01 firmware and was able to use the AT-6666 Pro Alignment Tool to adjust the frequency right on the money. The alignment tool allows you to adjust the frequency in 10 Hz increments, so I bumped up the "VF" number by one to "51". The radio had been off frequency by 15Hz (not the ~20Hz I had originally measured), now it's off by 5Hz which is totally acceptable. Besides, the 10Hz adjustment steps can't get it any closer anyway. I know, I know, that's pretty OCD, but I like to get everything running as perfectly as I can. That's why I always used to do all the tune-ups on my cars too. "Within spec" is not the same thing as perfect. And also I'm comforted in knowing that if the frequency ever drifts due to aging I can adjust it right back to center slot.Pez, thanks, hallelujah, that's great news. If QX would add that one feature [frequency alignment capability] to the firmware or programming software, I'd immediately go out and buy two more of these radios.
It shows that QX spent the time to debug it before they released it to market. Damn near perfect radio for 10/11m.
I've given the radio a good workout over the last several days, and there's nothing else I'd change about it. I'll be watching for any updates. Thanks again.
While we are on the subject of firmware for the Anytone AT-6666 Pro I would like to find out if there is a place you can go in to a menu of the radio to find out what firmware number is in the radio. I ask the dealer of the 2 ea. Pros I bought if they had the latest firmware and he said they did but I want to make sure so I'm not running Handy-capped.I can also confirm that you can install either the Anytone v.1.01 firmware or the Radioddity QT80 v.1.01 firmware and either one works with the alignment tool. It looks like the 1.01 firmware is identical whether you get it off the Anytone or Radioddity website.
Awesome stuff. This is the very reason we created the alignment tool for the Ham/PRO market. It's great to see it getting used for good (and not evil)!Just to follow up. Success! Thank you Anytone/Radioddity/QX for giving advanced users the ability to tweak settings, in my case all I needed to do was bump the freq setting by one - I'm not touching anything else. Thank you also for bringing to market the best 10-12m mobile radio I've ever used in 40+ years of messing with radio.
