Apparently we have known about it's presence for a LONG time before it was taken seriously.

Those evil Canadians, held back knowledge, they're in cahoots! :whistle:o_O:oops: We have to blame this on them now? Not the Chinese? I'm being facetious if you can't tell.

Often wonder how long before actual diagnosis was made in North America has it been floating around? Was sick in Nov./Dec. Walking around with sickness, working. One guy I know was out for a month, had to take Leviquin, the badass of the bad antibiotic. My spelling may be off for the stuff, but he was released to come back to work, light duty, he looked like death nuked over twice. He stated it was some junk going around that the doctors "don't know what it is".......Hmmmjm! :cautious:

Woody202 had a bout with the crud just before meeting up with him in Houston to buy some radios he had. His wife was ill then. That was about a month and half before the Hamfest in March. Haven't seen him here in some time. I've PM'd him couple times, no response. I called the other week, left a message on his voicemail. Hope to get a call from him. I fear the worst, but pray for the best.

Here we go again......LOL. Plenty of those Canadians come down here in the winter months, soak up the warmth, and get their needed health care and surgeries here in the USA. Why? Because they can't get them in Canada! They buy health insurance policies and get the surgery done while they are still alive. I know it must be disgusting to you to have to wait so long and endure the pain; while a politician, not a Doctor, not yourself either, decides what "you" need or don't need.

Man, been through couple knee surgeries. Fortunately, not the replacement. Mom had her hip replaced years ago. Friend had both his knees replaced. Another just had the fourth surgery for collapsing vein in calf. If he had been in Canada, the amputation would have been performed. Yes, that was discussed by his doctor.

Our health care system was high, then the socialists implemented an oxy moron...."affordable health care, ACA Act. Premiums went five fold, deductibles are so high it's not worth buying the insurance, then they say it's mandated that you buy or you get a fine. A tax if you will, for not having insurance which you can't afford. Now that's real smart, ain't it? All because the "socialists" wanted another tentacle into individual lives, and actually used as a ploy, the Canadian Health Care System to lure the sheep. It might have been high, but when socialized medicine was forced, it proved not cost effective.

Now we pay even more! With more wasted money........
Spot on. I got caught in this mess when I retired. I was one year short of being able
to go on medicare and had to get my own insurance. My cost while I was working
was around $260.00 a month for my wife and myself, when I retired I had to use
the ACA for insurance, my cost was over $800.00 a month just for myself, the
deductible was higher and coverage was less.

The phrase "if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor" Mr Obama constantly repeated was a blatant lie and he knew it, but that didn't stop him, he and the rest
of the socialists lied with impunity about the ACA.

The very first thing then need to do (and it is very easy) is make it so we can buy health care in a different state. This would cause competition which is good for the consumer.........

Then deal with the actual cost of medical service. The cost of which has to cover the liability of providing service. How do other countries deal with frivolous lawsuits?

Just think how much LOWER your insurance premiums would be if hospitals were not run for profit. I mean look at how many millionaires the health care business has made including doctors and dentists. Look at all those tests that get done simply because it pads the bill and please do not tell me it does not happen. Not looking for a debate. Both sides have their faults and charging $5-10 for a single Tylenol while in hospital is one of them LOL

Well that would mean you had it before anything AT ALL was reported out of China. Maybe they were right.....it DID start in the US and was exported to China. LOL JK don't get in a twister.

I think about how low my premiums would be if people wouldn't show up from all over the world for treatment and disappear when the bill is due.

Oh, I know.....I once flipped out over that cost......had a friend bring me a whole bottle while I was "incarcerated" in the hospital. I then proceeded to explain to them a Tylenol does not cost $5, the whole frigging bottle costs $5. Quit taking all medication. Then I went off on the cost of a 4"x4" gauze bandage, and told them I will change my own dressings from now on. Then there was the damned breathing treatment thing, with the silly tube of "stuff" that gets put in.........they claimed I could not get up and walk and that's the reason for the breathing junk. That was the biggest joke, and it hurt more than my injuries. My immediate resolution was to get up and walk out of the room, should have seen those nurses scramble, called the doctor, called security. I was nice to the nurses and the doctor, but when threatened by security..........."Zip POW! Straight to the Moon, Alice! .........Straight to the moon!" I then asked that bone head what could he do, throw me out! That's where I'm headed, out! Got up the next morning and walked out, with their protests. Told them to stop the bill. Walked home in that funny gown with my A$$ hanging out.

A cop I knew, Chris, came and picked me up about 2 miles from the house. He laughed so hard when he pulled up. Gave me a ride home. Capt. Mayberry, yes, that's his real name, stopped by day later to check on me. Said there was reports of a half naked man in a hospital gown at large. I was the talk of the station. Said he sent Chris because he knew me.

Went back to billing weeks later because they continued to charge me after I had left, two weeks! Filed grievance on that. Should have seen the bill reduction. They were installing copper rain gutters on the hospital while claiming to the public they were broke, and receiving federal subsidies. Copper! Expensive!

The key note there is "reported out of China"........look at how long the flu goes around before it's noted. Spreads like wild fire.

I think something was know before they reported it and I also think there are many more cases than reported as well. Now I see they are trying to suppress details about the true origin of the virus.

The problem is monopoly, not profit, per se.

We HAVE the anti-trust laws but they are NOT enforced. Was that so the cost of medical care would collapse 80%. One does not — after all — NEED Heath Insurance EXCEPT for catastrophic illness.

Medical procedures are rote. Performed thousands of times annually. As with one’s car taken for service, an estimate for service is the requirement.

The co-pay is the value of the service in most instances.

No more underwriting free medical care for the invaders or the parasites.

Thank Ronnie Raygun for EMTALA.

Pharmaceuticals are another. No competition.

This is why a generic off patent drug is being opposed for CV19. No profit.

The Enemy was promised by their god that they are guaranteed a profit off the cattle. What happens to the cattle is of no concern.

That thousands die from drugs not adequately tested or properly categorized for use is no sin.

Opium to China by the Delano family ships (FDRs ancestors) for the Sassoon family,

Or the billions raked in by the Sacklers for Oxy-Contin.

Literally no one has any idea how many people COVID-19 has killed
https://www.americanthinker.com/blo..._idea_how_many_people_covid19_has_killed.html

While I agree it appears some numbers have been inflated I also think that if someone had heart or respiratory problems before contracting Covid-19 and died of complications brought about from the virus, say perhaps a heart attack brought on by extra stresses on the body from the virus which normally would not have caused death then it would be appropriate to list COD as the virus. Same as respiratory patients that are normally reasonably healthy but die from virus complications. Simply having a pre-existing condition should not preclude listing Covid-19 from being listed as COD in cases where it is reasonable that the patient would not have died within the same timeline without exposure to the virus.
