Well, I finally got things to a place where I can begin working! There will still be changes made over time as I see a better way to set things up and of course there are the usual little issues that crop up in any new bench but they will be dealt with as the need arises.
I'm using an Antron 99 I found at a sale that the man said no longer worked so he ended up taking 5$ for it turned out all that was wrong was the lead that was to be soldered to the first section was not so a quick weld job and it's 1.2 around a 2.5 Mhz spread broad banded but I'm good with that.

The above image shows the link of the static mat system to my grounding system which is a link of 1.5 inch copper tape that circles the the sides and back of the bench and is tied into the grounding bar and linked to the 8 foot ground rod that is just 2 feet away on the other side of the wall so much better than my last bench which unfortunately was on the second floor.

Put some finishing touches on the bench late last night and then some more this image was taken about 30 minutes ago 4:30AM just running equipment tests with a radio known to be in perfect form.

That is how my old bench use to look. It has been inactive since 2016 and now is just a catch all for all kinds of junk.
