It is a tuned coil. You have to open it, count turns, then rewind with the same wire size.
More importantly, is not Ohms, but inductance and capacitance. It is most likely a 10.7 MHz coil. You could experiment, if you cant find one from a Ranger/Galaxy parts house or a parts donor radio.
You could try barkett electronics for a replacement.
The service manual for the 959 and 979 shows those as tuning inductors for the 10.695MHz AM and USB oscillator. I think quite a few galaxy radios used that coil, its not just a 2547 part.
True, but where to get one. I figured it was 10.7 MHz because of where it is in the circuit. Should be easy to sub something in there if need be.

If John is even still there. A wholesaler rep told me that one of the guys at galaxy had gone to work for UPS but he didn't know which one.
Won't be long before junkyard parts are your only choice. That part isn't being used in any radios currently produced. It will slowly dry up, starting with the legit suppliers like Barkett. Sure would be nice if someone (else) were to reverse-engineer the specifications for the slug-tuned inductive parts in Uniden and RCI built radios. Original service data is totally mute on this subject.
