Hey folks

any idea where I can get a good quality J Pole / portable antenna which works on 462/467 MHz as well as 118-174 MHz & 375- 550 mhz ( essentially gmrs and uhf/vhf)?

If I’m really going to be picky preferably swr below 1.5 and some be gain would be nice :)

ive got a icom 2730a and midland mxt115 in a portable base station.

or maybe 2 different antennas for the different frequencies?

much appreciated.

If you have some 450 ohm ladder line why not make extended double zepp? I have talked from h t hilltop to a mobile 170ish miles.

i would but I don’t have any of the supplies. :(
+ I’m not yet that confident! Lol. Do you have any links or articles?

Info to make EDZ here:

When I made either of my EDZ antennas I used two pieces of wire, each one the combined length of the radiator and twinlead. I fastened my twinlead to nonconducting material at the proper spacing for 450 Ohms, and then ran the radiator wires at right angles to the twinlead. One wire for each side of edz.
