If you don't want to drill a hole or use a magnet mount, good luck.
I think the bug,s talking skip.
Nope it's a Federal listening BUG.
Thanks for giving that bug a name. Fireflies have the most energy efficient light source known to man. If I they see one of my radios LED’s blinking at night, my window will have several of them lighting up my room. Don’t kill them. They’re good for the environment. Again, I digress…
That is the infamous RF Bug!
Pop a hole in the roof and install one of these. Performance will increase.
RBC your pic looks good. However, your link is for a mic condenser. More back plate would be good. 73's.
Definitely not a Mic condenser.
Well, send him the link to the mount - that "digikey" tagline isn't it...
This one works with rg58.
RPC $3.64 what you think we are made of money? That mount looks good!
It's a lot stronger than the one that came with my Wilson 5000.
The SO-239 was never intended to be an antenna mount and I will never use this type of mount. Have a look at Breedlove mounts, hand made and the best you can get.
It works great for my bottom load Wilson 5000 which probably weighs 6 oz or so.
You're right it's totally useless for heavy antennas with a 3/8 24 shaft.
