Need Help Identifying Plugs On An ANTENNA ROTOR

Well I just measured the jack on my Yaesu G-2800DXA rotator I have in the basement and it is NOT the same size. Yours measures 13/16 of an inch and mine is only 5/8 inch. Also mine has four key ways in it to ensure proper alignment when inserting the plug. The pin arrangement looks the same however. Also take note that the rotator housing on both yours and mine is flattened where the connector is mounted. A normal flat based bulkhead or panel mount connector will work perfectly. No need for shims etc as the surface is flat and not curved.

The rotor plug is definitely NOT a microphone plug . . . It is MUCH Larger.

I took some photo's with a ruler to give some scale to it

Looks like a standard encoder plug used in industrial automation. I believe it is made by Amphenol but I don't know if the numbers on it mean anything. Should be able to get it from Digikey. I will dig for a part number. Looks like the threaded part on this one is longer, might have to modify the ring.

FYI Here is the socket and plug for the Wilson WR-500 Rotator
GX25A8P for the plug
GX25B8S for the socket
It has been a "long & arduous journey" . . .

Although I no longer need to find this unit, I did find this that I will post for others who may "follow in my footsteps", so to speak.

Thank you to everyone that helped me along the way. Many times, I wanted to give up, but you all encouraged me.

Nope. A "Jones" plug refers to connectors designed and sold by the Cinch-Jones company back in the 1930s. They remained popular for decades, and are still being sold.

A Jones plug will have flat blades, in linear rows, not round pins.

Like this nasty, messed up specimen here.

I could not see the original pictures when I posted my reply long ago. The one in the side of the rotor does look a lot like my YAESU G-800DXA rotor plug.

This man should be able to give you any information you need and also has some great content. Give it a try and good luck.
