Using a france modded Lincoln II Version 2 now. Excellent radio! Better than Anytone 5555 or CRE 8900.

    Dave...

Is there any way you can test or have someone test this radio on CW? Have you heard of anyone bitching about the buffering issue (or anything else)? If anyone reading this owns one and can test it for us, I'd be damned appreciative. Hell, I'd even send a small PayPal reward for the trouble.

    Bummer...

    Thanks Dave.

Some people will say that CW is not important for them on this radio. If they can't get that circuit right, then what else is lacking?

sp5it is kind enough to use his master CW skills to verify presence or absence of the sidetone buffering issue.

Anxiously awaiting his hands on report.

Liking my Lincoln II as much as my optima, especially the microphone. Finally came back in stock so I have two left. They really tune up well. Haven't found a better or even decent mic but I also haven't tried any power mics.

It'll be nice to fine out if a power mic will improve the 2's performance. For normal operations especially on SSB a power mic may not be needed but on the CB band it would help to have a little audio help so that you can make your contacts notice you especially if you sound like what they want to sound like based their perceived ideas about themselves.
I sound like God real loud on my CRE-8900 with my Astatic Road Devil. :O
