What Is The Best Base Antenna Under $135

For mobiles you need to take into account the velocity of the cable, but we're talking about base antennas here and on a base station there is no velocity to account for because base stations don't move.

I never really thought about it that way.

Original issue Hy-Gain SP-500. Can get them used for 20-50 bucks. Clean 'em up, put new hardware on 'em, and you're good to go. You won't regret the performance. I paid 25 bucks for mine, and it was in great shape, just needed minor cleaning and new stainless steel hardware.

I do multiplies of 18'....was hell running 18' jumpers up my 50' tower!

the new flex able towers make it easy to install 18 foot runs of 11 meter coax.

I run a Imax 2k here, good for what I use it for I guess, lol.....I use mine on 10m band, I don't fool with the 11m stuff anymore....

But a dipole they say talks better than a Imax does on hf, never tried that..

But guess hes talking about using it on the 11m band, lol..

Super penetrator 1 s unit over the I2K (3 s units over the A99)

Gain master 2 DB gain over the super penetrator ( 3.33 DB gain over the A99)

so the gain master has 18.2 DB gain over the A99.

The gainmaster is better than an beam, considering the A99 has no gain.

Just relating what I've seen and been told by receiving stations. Only a ___* still imagines a real 6Db per S unit is actually realized from a CB radio meter.

Talked around the world on an antron 99 also I max 2000 and a Siro new tornado, Never owned a Maco v-5/8 but I will say I know a person who has one with a missing radial who gets out like you would not beleive so.......

4 Antron 99 the Ground plane kit brought in olny \more noise for me..

You made a very good choice. Take a look at the 2016 in my album.

The Sirio 2016 performs well for me. It has better receive than the Imax it replaced. Good to 3KW intermittent duty and handles Ice, wind and snow well.
