I am at work now, but hopefully cam take a better look at this when I get back home tomorrow.
Maybe you can help me I need to swap out the 5 pin mic receptacle on a trc 431 radio to a four pin receptacle first I need to know if it can be done and then hopefully a diagram of the rewiring The one that is in that radio now has come free and really has no retainer other than glued plastic .

I have a PDX 400 I saw you knew a way to get them to use 24LQ6 tubes??? Could you help me do that to mine??? Tell me how you converted the D & A amps to work with them???
I built a 2000 brand new.. I put in FM and a Amp inside the main cabinet with a power suply in one of the speakers and an Octal plug between one speaker and the radio... Lots of channels also!!!

Your 422 amp: Did you notice a reduction in current for 422's compared with 2879's?
That was why I went to 28v w/ Palomar 900HD. When amp new, it wanted more current than my 40A PSU had. I have no measurements but PSU no longer strains. What are you using for 28v PS?

Ohm's law does apply here. I have not used this amp in almost 30 years, however I still have it and plan to make some changes and use it. The current plan, is 6 MeanWell 28V 6.5A SMPS's in parallel. The old plan was 4 parallel Glenayre 26V 14A SMPS, removed from paging transmitters.
I need to know whether the Yaesu FT990 can easily be hooked up to an acom 1010 amplifier. What is the proceedure?
