11 meter is very quiet?

I don't know how bad the pileup is where you guys are at, but here it's wall-to-wall stations all day. Can't hear any westside stations because all of the operators out of the southeast corner cover them up. .
Feel lucky we are on a starvation diet for DX up here in N/E PA. Only hearing some far off weak stations that sound foreign.

Hey JJ,
I heard you in there yesterday, you were working a bunch of stations. I could barely hear someone in the Carolinas getting back to you, and I couldn't hear any of the others. I need to get my antenna a lot higher, maybe this fall. Stay safe, 73.

    Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
