Palomar 321
That is Palomar 321 that someone put a SCP sticker on. Electrically they are a Skipper 300, one (1) driving three (3) and most likely running 6LF6 or 8950 tubes.
Maco Alpha V5/8 Groundplane
The Maco V5/8 is feed with an LC circut. If you look close you will see that the center of the antenna is encased in a plastic sleeve. The sleeve acts as a insulator between the antenna (RF hot) and the mounting bracket with the radials (RF cold). This forms a...
RE: output filtering
Ripple in a filter is seen as reflected power to the transmitter. (SWR) The greater the amount of ripple, the greater the variation as you tune across the filters passband. The same is true for a reciever. The same variations that caused reflected power to the transmitter...
8950 / 6KD6 drive power

Just as a thought, you...
The Golden Falcons were make by gentleman named Andy Anderson.
They were a kick butt amp back in their day! Like all sweep tube boxs, they like a low dead key, approx 2 watts with good foward swing and lots of audio.
I am going from memory here, but i seem to remember mine drew about 100 +...
