I'm not going for the "look". I'm wanting it for the audio quality. I haven't used one, but I'm told the originals have a much better broadcast quality than the newer ones. Better made, better quality mics.

Were ya'll able to get this issue resolved? I've been looking at the Stryker 955 and the CRE 8900 but think I'm leaning towards the CRE due to the Stryker issues. I also don't like the disco clown looks of the Stryker but would buy it if it's a better performer.

Somewhat new to amps here so forgive me if this line of questioning is dumb. What would you suggest driving 6 pills with if a 2 pill drive section is too much? I would think a one pill would not be enough drive to get the full potential of the six. Can you explain this a bit for me?

Is this a hard mod to do? I hear it's very necessary if you're going to be running any additional power.
