    yes thats a ranger fc-390 freq. counter hard wired into the grant. they might of ment it wouldnt work cause when you key up the numbers jump around but it dont effect nothing. soon as you unkey it goes right back to the freq.it works really well truth be told.

    must have all kinds of antenna restrictions there where ya live huh mongoose.? heck, get a antron 99 type antenna and when it gets dark just put it together and stick it on a poll or somethin then take it down before light. lol.

    ok ill try it. the other scout amp the screw is a little brass slotted screw. the mini scouts looks like a little bolt. i was told these are input tuning screws.

    lower the rings to make the imax longer,raise the rings for shorter. if your swr is worse on your lower freqs., lower the rings to make antenna longer. worse on upper channels,raise the rings.
