Had it for two months now and love it, Low noise. The only thing i don't like is no mic gain and the freq. counter is a little off hot but overall a very good radio on am and a great radio on ssb.
Follow up to my last. I have three 14 foot copper coated ground rods 10 feet apart. have 1/0 bare copper tied to each rod the to all three legs of the tower. then i have a 2 gauge solid copper wire tied to my homes service ground. then i have a 2 gauge solid wire coming into my house hooked up...
Let me refrase this a little, when i disconnect my coax i just let it hang or should i put it to ground. years ago i got hit and the lightning came out the end of the disconnected coax and grounded to my piping under my sink.
Simple question, should i disconnect the coax from the radio and run it to my ground buss. i was thinking of putting 3 so239 both sheild and center conductor bolted to my buss
I got one from h&y, works great. Still waiting on software. the only mod i made was opening up the am audio limiter. the only thing i do not like is no mic gain. AM dead key is 10 watts and swings 35, on SSB it does about 40 watts. out of the box it only has about 3 watts of swing on am, Thats...
Installed a new hdbx32 tower this week. Would like to know how to position my 20 feet of excess coax (max400) should i coil it next to the tower? I do not want to cut due to my room where my radios are is being moved and will need the 20 feet.
