Talked to a known builder about the HG2879C. He said they come alive at around 17 volts. At standard mobile voltage he recommends the regular HG2879.

Still Waiting for my 6pill from Hopper as I ordered on Aug 6 with 2-4week build time, emailed him yesterday and replied today saying should be shipped next week was a delay in shipping overseas for transistors. I am sure Nate will deliver.
Delays with usps and customs are not uncommon with china shipments. Hg usually ships fedx and even then i saw a delay once.
I feel ya. I'm waiting on a sweet sixteen with new 2879C's in it.
Well the 2879c's will be interesting in the sweet 16. Hopper is doing the c's in your amp?
No, Gatekeeper agreed to do the rebuild. He did a great job on my neighbors sweet sixteen with regular hg 2879's.
Couple months ago Nate was working at Fatboy shop...shipping out of Egg Harbor City, NJ.
Finally received the Hopper straight 6, bummer I cant try it out as I am short a ps at the moment, anyhow looks ok from what I can see. After I test drive it I will open it up for some pics of the work inside.
