Maybe try over the weekend because by the time I can get on in the evening 10 is dead here. I moved over to 20 and worked an OH4 in Lebanon.

Yeah...first contact in Israel would be nice. Hell, at this point a first contact across the street would make me happy...
Can someone explain this to me, including how it relates to my being able to work 10 meter?

So...10 meter is most likely to be open to me when the MUF for my location is 20 or below? And I am most likely to be able to talk to folks within 1500 kiometers of me...a 3000 long path... along that 20 Mhrtz contour?
I saw that yesterday and bookmarked it. Trouble is...I don't have a clue how to interpret it...
Click on the band you want and if there are a lot of lines that band is open.
LOL...must not be anyone between me and Wisconsin on the radio then...straight line to the Badger State but no traffic...
If MUF map is correct, I might squeak out a contact in an hour or two.
Wish I could figger this Baofeng out...I'd take a 2 meter contact at this point.
Make a 4-5 element 2 meter beam. It should get into a distant repeater or 2. Then you can make some kind of contact.
