Covid Gardening

Got that Dangable Machine ( Baxter Black ) rolling, finally. Couple days to free up bearings at tines. Took some Blaster (the commercial form of Kroil) several soakings. Drilled hole in chain/ gear case, yes (Redneck Engineering), but cost effective. Poured about 3 pints Rotella in. Ha, Rotella for the Rototill. Massaged it by turning tines with an 1-1/2 dia. pipe. Let sit, soak cycle. Tap tines with 3 lb. beater. Alot. Let sit. Tilt tiller back on incline, use your imagination, for a day. Let soak. Patience son. Let Rome burn. Beat on tines again till free enough to turn by hand. Hoorah! Redbeard Engineering, if it don't fit.....force it. Seal 1/4" hole with rtv. Fire that Mutha up. Tines are roll'n. Success. Change oil, cause God only knows when Kav changed it last. By his own admission, it must have been 16 years ago when he bought it. Rotella again for Rotatill. Here we go up into the wild blue yonder..........

Here is 2 hrs ground break, only maybe 3" deep. Beer thirty. Chicken feed em up time. Contemplating renting a Ditch Witch and bust some Black Gumbo Ass. Go 2-3 foot deep. This Black Gumbo will be rock hard after setting up winter months if not busted up with dynamite for winter garden. Trying to scrape this crap off boots, best done with a hoe, wire scratch, and sweeper nozzle on garden hose.

Went out to tiller, gas up. Gas out. Float bowl gasket bad. Looking for parts now. Might just stick black rtv on break. Ain't nobody round here gonna have that part.

The garden has had compost before. Can chip down by hand and breaks up. I don't want to do this by hand.
Rtv won't work, tried it. Gasoline dissolves it. Find an inner tube from a 20 inch bike cut a rubber band about a half inch wide. Put it on the bowl sticking up about an 1/8 inch. Let the part sticking up go under the carb flange when assembled. I ran my lawnmower for two summers that way. Haha.,

Thanks. Good idea.
