MOSLEY 27 MHz Antenna Designs - GROUND PLANE - DP-275-27 - "Devant Special" 11 Meters

I think I see a gross error in the Manual.

Click on Jeff's attached image from his post #47 above, Hover and left click on the Attachment below.

You can also enlarge the Jeff's image by clicking the (+) and undo (-).

Notice the image above on the right...shows the insulated support clamp (#17) is attached to the short side of the trombone tuner section and instruction details show it is attached to the long side.

Check out Jeff's image above for the tuner section. The trombone tuner on the right side notes the 2 tuning sections of 1/8" tubing wires (#10-Small side & #15-Large side).

GROUND PLANE DP-275-27 “Devant Special” $399.95
Still listed in current catalog/price list.
Jeje, I think is more expensive. They quoted me this antenna recently. Too expensive for an omnidirectional antenna!!!!

You can get the Shockwave antenna for under $500 and it's a very robust build.
I can't help it but it looks like a cheap light duty version of J's I-10K to me every time I look at it.

This antenna is a myth.... it doesn't exist
You may contact Mosley by phone Monday - Friday & ask them. They actually answer the phone & emails as well. I will keep using my Mosley over any other brand of antenna made because it works Very well & is built like a tank. No motors that fail or fiberglass that falls apart in the sun just Quality USA made Aluminum & Copper. Mosley is a WINNER!

I also have Mosley antenna, specifically the TA-33-M-WARC, pretty strong antenna.

The HF beams they sell are built very well, this one is the only antenna they sell that looks lightweight compared to other antennas in the same price range.
It's a big amount of money for a single band vertical when that same money can buy you some boom with a few elements hanging off of it if gain is what you want.

Can you share some pictures of it?

I have a Mosley TA-53M & there are hundreds if not thousands of pictures of it on the world wide web. Mosley I would think has pictures of the vertical mentioned in this post. They have been in business right here in the USA for over 78 years. You can't stay around that long building JUNK because your reputation will run you out of business.

Everyone doesn't have room for even a small beam so a vertical may be their only choice. I would prefer a Mosley PRO-96S over my TA-53M but I don't have enough tower that can handle it, a rotor that can handle it, or the space for it above my property, but I sure can DREAM.
