at the truck stop guy offered me this amp
What is the max power on 4 sc2290 qnd should i upgrade it to the the bigger pills..
Your input ..

Run it as is.
AM mode.
Turn the radio down until the amp is dead keying approx 70/80 watts.
Do not exceed 20 watts peak input and put a fan on it.
SSB do not exceed 20 watts peak input and put a fan on it.
If you want to change anything put some dam grommets on the power leads, by-pass the shitty fuse set up, fuse the power leads at the battery, and put a fan on it.
Oh, and put a fan on it.

Whats up with the big ceramic resistors on the feedback circuits? Has Texas Star started using these or did the guy that added the coax do it because he couldn't figure out why the stock pieces were getting hot? I can't see them being factory due to the higher cost and because they are inductive...if the thing is working right 2 watt resistors are more than enough.

Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare
    May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned
