Anyone getting snow?

I rode my bike in Cally 110 degrees, just like riding into a furnace duct. As i set here typing both of my knees are aching from running the snow blower this morning. It took me 7 months after last winter to start to be able to walk normal again Arthritis is a bitch in this area !

I found some pictures from a few years ago, we have hundred degree weather pretty regularly during the summer months. I remember back in 1988 we had 21 straight days of 100 + degrees. I can deal with the heat far better than the cold, I guess it's what ever a person is accustomed to. A couple of years ago we were running casing one night in PA and one of the casing hands over heated and fell out. At that time my entire crew was from down south, after we realized what was happening with him we all pitched in to help cool him down and let him stay in the air-conditioned safety trailer the rest of the night. My driller apologized to the casing crew for not realizing that there was a problem sooner, he explained that we didn't mean to seem unconcerned, but we're all from down south and we're not use to seeing someone fall out when it's 80 degrees, especially at night.

That reminds me of a picture I took two or three years ago. We had -42°F outside and had 102°F inside. We were going for the biggest temp difference we could get, but my better half wasn't liking the heat and begged me to stop adding wood to the stove.

We got 4 more inches of snow today. My radio friend 60 miles east got 8.5 today. 90 miles south there is no snow, i've yet to see the yard. I remember easter egg hunting as a kid and I never remember easter being like this year. We must be past global warming and headed toward the ice age As much as I like winter, I am ready for summer.

A lot of it has to do with Humidity. Around here 95 with high humidity is a killer. And to think I use to do that under a welding helmet and leathers. What we didn't do to feed our family !

Went into work the other night. Forecast was snow. We got hit with over 12" in 5 hours. The snow removal management thought that a plane could turn thru a 4' windrow. End up with almost all the snow removal there cleaning up their mess.

That's not to nice, I think we are all done here in Ontario Now and I hope so, as I hope to till the garden this weekend.

I've been building a landscape harrow to drag behind my 4 wheeler to straighten out my back yard after installing a new septic tank last fall. And removing a tree. Now comes a couple ton of top soil and re-seeding. The snow can kiss my back side ! LOL

If you ever get a chance post a pick of the harrow your working on...good Idea as I want to level my back yard as ground has sunk in some places and would like to level and seed and have a couple of new atv's to put to work. Best of luck.

I'll have to try it first to make sure it works ok but the ground is a little wet from the rain we've had. It's built out of a old steel picture window frame I've had laying around as a drag but I chopped it down and added teeth to it to dig the soil. I wanted to buy one but $400.00 was too steep for a one time use. Believe me it isn't pretty but as long as it gets it done. LOL

Nice, job. Look good to me. I actually had a set of drags that were older than me and worked perfectly. But my brother in law ended up moving and taking them with him along with my 3 point auger.

While some people see a pile of scrap as junk, I see costly steel waiting to be repurposed. Not all of use have supplies at our finger tips or a extra $400.00 just laying around to buy new. It's amazing what a spray gun and some old paint laying around can do, then there is a yard sale to get rid of it. LOL

That's why I am careful who I lend stuff to. People just don't appreciate the value of your stuff when they didn't get it the hard way. I always laugh and say You can pick your Friends but not your Relatives ! LOL

I actually loaned them to my father in law, and then he loaned them to my brother in law without my knowledge. Which still agrivates me to no end because I really could use the equipment. And he would have thrown a fit had I done the same with something of his. Since her parents have both passed, I can't stand anyone left standing in her family, nor can she, that's the biggest reason we moved away a year ago. Their every one shady including her son, but that's another story. She always tells me to forget about it, which I know I should and it's petty of me, but I would really like to beat the hell out of one of them before I die. And I'm pretty sure they've caught on to that vibe because I've already been dodged a few times when I've had to go back to the Poteau area to do some business. They see me, then turn and go the other way, probably for the best.
