I know how to do it and it is displayed on my ham radio deluxe software but my problem is keeping up with nets.
Sometimes if I go to a website stating start times in UTC, I have trouble figuring out what time it is in my time zone!

I talk 11, 12 and 15 easily on mine with my manual tuner. I never cut or adjusted anything. Buy a cheap mfj manual tuner and use it for the ham bands that way...

What are some typical frequencies that you guys keep stored in your memory banks?
I have things such as the call frequencies for 10 meters and other bands. I have most of the SSTV and PSK frequencies for the different bands and certain frequencies for nets that I might check into....
Monitoring this afternoon. I have a separate cb radio for that. Plus, I don't have that radio modded to transmit on those frequencies anyway...

Can you guys hear this? I tried the other day but had no luck. I'm in central Alabama and it was around 4:00 in the afternoon. I didn't know if it was harder to hear during those times or not... Any time of day that it's easier to pick up?
I have a Yaesu 897 that I run as a base station and it works really well. My only dislikes is that the 897 only has one HF antenna port and one VHF antenna port. So, because of that, I have to use an antenna switch for HF to switch between my Antron and the G5RV. It's not that big of a deal...
I found a site the other day that basically listed all frequencies that are known to be used by different government entities. FEMA, Air force, Canadian government etc... I'm still pretty new to HF as I have only had my General for a couple of months now. But, I thought it would be cool to...
I don't understand it either... Not sure what it's saying but it is a digital female voice. I think it may really be HRD software doing it because I have had my laptop disconnected and used it for something other than radio and never heard the voice.
I'll check the settings on HRD this weekend...
I have a weird problem...
I use a yaesu 897 and ham radio deluxe software to run digital modes.
I am using a dell latitude d620 laptop computer....
Everything works great except every so often a digital voice speaks on my computer and automatically keys up my radio for about 2 to 3...
Can someone tell me some good nets to check into on HF? Or where I can find an accurate list of nets online? I'm looking for nets on 10, 20, 40 and 80.
I've found some by "accident" and checked in (maritime net, some other net based up north etc...) we also have an 80 meter AL net here daily...
LOL
I have never purposely checked into that net but have somehow managed to check In on three different occasions. I always skim across it and hear someone so I give out my call and it ends up being the net...
I need some suggestions for some good nets to look out for. Got any?
