harmonics will make meter gve false readings,, if swr is good with amp off and then it should be all right,,, amps tend to make harmonics and then swr meter doesnt know what to read,,

i have one,,, with the hyrange vfo ,,, nine pin plug in back for vfo,,, mine is wired with a switch to turn the transmit on the vfo on and off,,, one way to tell the iv has the plug socket is the mike plug is 4 pin and not 5 pin din,,,
