I believe he already has a "Counter"... I assume he wanted / needed a "Probe" to go with the Counter, in order to use it as a Piece of Test Equipment... I believe in order to use the Counter as he had hoped to, the Probe would have to have the 51 Ohm 1/4 Watt Resistor and a 15pf Ceramic...

I agree... IF you do not mind waiting for a Slow Boat from China, shopping on www.ebay.com can be somewhat Inexpensive... While you are waiting for the Probe to arrive, you can Study the Owner's Manual...

Most knowledgeable people Test the SWR at the Antenna... Yeah, no one does, because that would take 2 People to do, as one's Arms are only...

Like 399 said... In regards to Electrolytic Capacitors, leakage is another important Test... Have to Test the Capacitor at the Voltage it is intended to operate at, for "Leakage". Capacitors can check "Good" using certain Meters, but in all actuality the Capacitor could be "Bad", as it leaks...
