I run one of the new sp500's, aluminum quality seems too be like the old one, the plastic crap for the match sucks, the antenna performs quite well, way better than the imax2000.

I've put the CP-1 and MD-1 both in a few 2950's and have had great feedback with them on.

I own one, and I actually like it. Takes a little getting use to with the different settings you can choose from, but over all it's been a great mic, clean and clear, a cross between my d104 and my turner +3.

Top of the Globe here with ya, Anchorage Alaska here also, South Side. A simple outdoor home brew dipole or wire antenna is all that's needed here to pick up most anything. If your on the air give us a shout on 27.245.
