    Mobile antenna mounts

Chicago. After looking at my hatchback door, the only acceptable location to put that would be on the side, and it still won't clear the roof when I open the hatch up. Think I'm gonna order a Hustler MBM mag mount

Radio Shack Closing Up To 1,100 Stores

Stop making sense! LoL RS coax I've used was pretty decent, and available when I needed it.. I don't like going into these major chain stores like Malwart for one or two small items where I have to park three blocks away and wait in line behind ten offensive-looking people with grocery carts...

    New Toy

A Nikon P-223 with BDC? The scope in the pic from the first post looks identical to a Nikko Stirling Nighteater scope to me.. Look at the scope objective shape. Nikons don't have that 'visor', and they're considerably smaller. You sure it's not a Nikko?

    Mobile antenna mounts

The Diamond K400 looks identical the the BRC B200 mount I was intending on buying from an eBay seller for $20 shipped w/o the coax or SO-239. Opek also makes a similar generic version. It looks like you have to remove a considerable amount of paint to achieve a proper ground with this style...

    Opinions? Best communications external speakers?

+1 for the Uniden ESP-20. I have mine hooked up to a Uniden scanner. IIRC, the Uniden BC-20 is its new replacement. The Barjan Talk-Back is an inexpensive speaker that works very well with a generic talk-back option that plugs into the PA jack. Radio Shack made some really nice ext speakers, too.

    INDOOR ANTENNAS

I'm currently using a Firestik IBA-5 indoor-outdoor antenna with excellent results. I highly recommend it. They cost around $70 shipped. Also check out the "Falcon 2400 Watt 11 Meter Dipole Cb Radio Base Station Antenna" available on eBay and Amazon for roughly $30 shipped. They're a most...
