My favorite radio(s) of all time, are the Icom IC-735. It was my first synthesized HF radio, that blew my mind as to how much better it was than some of the other clunkers I had before it. It is built to take a beating, and it did. It traveled with me on the road, got killed by an airline and came back to life good as new. I still have it and use it. My favorite VHF/UHF radio of all time, is the Icom IC-32AT. Again, built to take a beating, bullet proof front end and still lives to this day.Like the title says, what is your favorite ham or CB radio of all time (so far) and why? I got this radio in a pinch situation. My trusty 2950 went wonky on SSB and my little amp died which kicked me out of any good DX so I had to make the decision with a limited budget whether to get an amp and stick with AM for the time or get a radio. You guessed it, the radio. An Anytone AT 5555 Plus. It has been a great radio with good performance and nothing but good reports. It was again, a budget purchase but I will buy another newer model with the better noise blanking circuit. I was able to talk skip with the 40 watts until I got another little amplifier and I've talked a good portion of the world with it. I can't wait to get a little more height with the antenna to expand the fun. 73 UDX-483 MuddBucket SteveLike the title says, what is your favorite ham or CB radio of all time (so far) and why?
