I found a recieve mod for the DX949 and 959 on ebay and was wondering if it works like the ad says or is it just B.S.......and if it does work does anyone have the plan on this mod and what parts are needed?
Because it sound like a pretty neat mod......I would like to try it on my 959 and 2547...
What do you guys think of the Galaxy DX-2547 base, I was thinking of purchasing one but would like a little feedback first from you pros.

I agree with DTB and Switch kit, I love Lou's books and I have also learned alot from these two men, they have forgot more about radios then I will every know! :D
I got a question for you pros, can I use a 100watt 50ohm heavy duty wire wound resistor as a dummy load? and if not what can I use? the easier the better for this newbie.
Thanks Guys :D
