    I found a recieve mod for the DX949 and 959 on ebay and was wondering if it works like the ad says or is it just B.S.......and if it does work does anyone have the plan on this mod and what parts are needed?     new radio question ... which one to go with

    40 watt mod involves 3 parts to be change on the Uniden Radio but you will get more then 40watts out, mine 78XL swings 55watts and I can out talk galaxys all day. :D 40watt mod

    40 watt mod? here's the scoop

    I did this mod on my 3 radios, one 25LTD, 29 LTD ST and 78XL and have got 43watts on the 25, 45watts on the 29 and 55watts on the 78XL. its works :D And I know some hater will come back with a (I have a 100watt 19LTD, If you don't believe me ask me) comment here's a link check out the mod...

    Service manual

    Where can I get a service manual for Uniden 78 or even a 76? and also does anyone know what driver its has I can't see the numbers very well it looks like a 2314 but a friend said it is a 1957 because that is what he has in his 29 and witch is better a 2314 or a 1957? :? Thanks 73s Mag
