I found a recieve mod for the DX949 and 959 on ebay and was wondering if it works like the ad says or is it just B.S.......and if it does work does anyone have the plan on this mod and what parts are needed? Because it sound like a pretty neat mod......I would like to try it on my 959 and 2547...

40 watt mod involves 3 parts to be change on the Uniden Radio but you will get more then 40watts out, mine 78XL swings 55watts and I can out talk galaxys all day. :D 40watt mod

I did this mod on my 3 radios, one 25LTD, 29 LTD ST and 78XL and have got 43watts on the 25, 45watts on the 29 and 55watts on the 78XL. its works :D And I know some hater will come back with a (I have a 100watt 19LTD, If you don't believe me ask me) comment here's a link check out the mod...

Where can I get a service manual for Uniden 78 or even a 76? and also does anyone know what driver its has I can't see the numbers very well it looks like a 2314 but a friend said it is a 1957 because that is what he has in his 29 and witch is better a 2314 or a 1957? :? Thanks 73s Mag

So can you tell me if the Clear Drive on my Cherokee CBS 2100 is a Speech Processor? and is it worth the money to buy the SP-1A for my Cobra 29? and can the SP-1A by hooked to a switch so I can control it?

A friend of mine has one on a 40 foot tower and has talked all over the world and she runs 400 watts to it and the swr is 1.2 and she loves it, so I wont call it pure junk! :)

So Switch kit what is this 50 watt mod? see I running a box truck out of Detroit to Flint every day but a different truck every day so I can't run a amp in the truck so I need to get as much out of the radio I can, I have a radio bag and a Wilson 5000 mag mount and now I need a good powerful...
